Ah'Jah's Family

Diagnosed with ....Neuroblastoma...this unexpected illness has brought sadness to our hearts...We were broken in spirit, emotionally, physically and mentally.  With God on our side and the loving support we have received from your organization, we have not felt alone during these trying times.

 

 

 

 

Abby’s Family: 

April 4th, 2007.  That is the day that our lives changed forever...Abby was diagnosed with adult stage 4 Lung Cancer.  No parent should have to choose between medication for their child and heat for their home.  No parent should have to worry about their power being cut off as they hold their chemo-weakened child in their arms...that is where Jay's HOPE comes in.  I have often said that living with childhood cancer is like living in a dark cave...it's cold, lonely and there are times when very little light illuminates the hope we all long to feel.  If cancer is the dark cave then Jay's HOPE is the light.  For us personally, Jay's HOPE has illuminated many dark places in our lives.  When we discovered that our kitchen floor was ruined and covered in mold due to a water leak, they stepped in...I will also never forget the day when Jay's HOPE helped bring a smile back to Abby's face with a dream room makeover by "Rooms From the Heart".  What an amazing day that was!!!  Besides financially, Cindy and Jason have been there spiritually and emotionally for all of us.  Cindy has become a rock of Faith for me to turn to when I feel like I just can't go on.  She has listened and understood when I was crying and has shown me that sometimes you just have to laugh in spite of everything.  Middle Georgia is truly blessed to have such an amazing couple like Cindy and Jason to rely on.  It is through their faith and trust in a God so much bigger than cancer that Jay's HOPE exists and we are all blessed because of it.
